Fourth Annual Chair's Dinner, featuring Lorraine Mitchelmore, Co-Chair, Smart Prosperity, former President and Country Chair, Shell Canada

The Business Council of British Columbia will host the fourth annual Chair’s Dinner on Monday, June 13th. The evening will be a celebration of the Business Council’s work over the past 50 years to advance economic prosperity across BC and will honor some of the province's finest businesses and business leaders for their ongoing contributions in support of this mission.

This exclusive event brings together British Columbia’s senior business leadership for an enlightening evening featuring a keynote address by a leading thinker regarding topical issues relating to the economy, business leadership, and public policy. Past events featured Dominic Barton, Global Managing Director of McKinsey, Prof. Kishore Mahbubani, former head of the UN Security Council and Elyse Allan, President & CEO of GE Canada.

We are honoured to host Lorraine Mitchelmore, Co-Chair of Smart Prosperity and former President and Country Chair of Shell Canada as our keynote speaker. Lorraine will share her unique perspective regarding Canada's energy future and the broader shifting approach to resource development, in light of an increasingly competitive, innovative and sustainable global economy. Bringing together Canadian leaders from business, think tanks, labour, Indigenous Peoples, youth, and NGO communities, Smart Prosperity aims to harness new thinking to map out and accelerate Canada’s transition to a stronger, cleaner economy in the next decade.
