Policy & Publications
The Business Council of British Columbia’s mission as a preeminent source of economic and public policy information and research in support of a strong, competitive provincial economy depends on a thorough understanding of current economic conditions and careful analysis of public policy options.
The Council’s leading team of analysts and economists provide regular economic forecasts and reviews, highlighting the trends that are driving change in the B.C. economy. Based on this knowledge, the Council produces analysis and advice on the most pressing public-policy issues affecting the economy. These include such key issues as skills and labour, productivity, Aboriginal relations, tax competitiveness, transportation and energy infrastructure, and environmental sustainability.
The research and recommendations produced by the Council, with input from members representing B.C.’s key business sectors, are an important source of information for decisions makers in government. The Council is committed to continue producing relevant, evidence-based policy work that supports a competitive, prosperous and sustainable BC economy.
